Naturally, you would like to know how much a translation is going to cost you. However, it is not possible to quote a set price. This is because translations are made-to-measure, as it were. The price of a translation is calculated per word and also depends on a number of other factors, including the complexity of the text, the size and deadline.

I would ask you to send a sample of the text to be translated with your request for a quotation, as this makes it easier to assess what you expect.

I charge a minimum rate for all services, as my experience is that smaller assignments often take comparatively more time than one would think and should of course receive as much care and attention as the larger ones!

Urgent assignments are subject to a surcharge. This is calculated on the basis of questions such as:

how fast does the job have to be completed
is it necessary to work evenings and weekends to get the job done?
